From December 11th to 14th, 2025, Zhao Tianwei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Arts at Southeast University, led a delegation to Guangzhou to conduct research and exchanges with local universities and enterprises on the themes of art discipline construction, industry-university-research integration, and alumni collaboration. The research team included Cheng Wanli, Vice Dean of the School of Arts; Dong Tiantian, Vice Dean; Yuan Qin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Chen Shaopeng, Assistant Dean; Yao Yao, Head of the Department of Art Theory; Zhou Yu, Head of the Department of Fine Arts; Li Peng, Deputy Head of the Department of Design; and Zhang Shun, Deputy Head of the Department of Animation.

On the afternoon of December 11th, the team's first stop was the Center for Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Studies at Sun Yat-sen University (a key research base for humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education and a research base of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism). Center Director Song Junhua and experts including Huang Shizhong, Kong Qingfu, Pan Peizhong, and Chen Zhiyong participated in the exchange. Professor Song Junhua systematically introduced the construction history and current development of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Center, and Professor Huang Shizhong elaborated on the center's research characteristics and academic directions. Secretary Zhao Tianwei introduced the basic situation of the School of Arts at Southeast University. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics such as the digital and intelligent transformation of intangible cultural heritage and the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents, jointly envisioning future paths for the protection and innovation of intangible cultural heritage.

On December 12th, the research team visited Huawei's global terminal headquarters in Songshan Lake, Dongguan. Huawei representatives Wang Yingdong, Wang Heping, and Qi Miao accompanied the team on a tour of the mobile phone production line and park facilities. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on topics such as the integration mechanism of art design and industrial manufacturing, and the connection between student internships and employment. The art college team focused on learning from Huawei's advanced experience and management model in combining technological innovation with product aesthetics. Secretary Zhao Tianwei, on behalf of the college, expressed condolences to former Party Secretary Wang Heping and paid tribute to his contributions to the development of the college.

On the morning of December 13th, the team visited the School of Art and Design of Guangdong University of Technology to conduct inter-university exchanges and alumni networking activities. Luo Shengjing, Party Secretary of the School of Art and Design of Guangdong University of Technology, and Zhang Xiaogang, Vice Dean, participated in the exchange. He Weiqiang, Executive President of the Southeast University Guangdong Alumni Association, Chen Yingting, Executive Vice President, and many alumni in Guangdong also participated. Secretary Luo Shengjing introduced the college's development overview, and President He Weiqiang shared information about the alumni association's organization and activities. Secretary Zhao Tianwei introduced the college and university's recent developments to the alumni. Several alumni shared their experiences and discussed the continuous support and connecting role of the alumni platform in their personal career development. After the meeting, the team visited the Guangdong Provincial Industrial Design Exhibition Hall, the Large-Scale Advanced Transportation Vehicle Design and Manufacturing Laboratory, and the Artificial Intelligence Art Design Center.

From the afternoon of December 13th to the morning of December 14th, the research team visited alumni-owned companies Houyi Culture and Foshan Ouguan Furniture. During discussions with company leaders, both sides focused on the deep integration of artificial intelligence and artistic creation, and the alignment of artistic talent cultivation with corporate needs. Chen Yingting, head of Houyi Culture, showcased innovative practices combining technology and art, while Wang Rongzhong, head of Ouguan Furniture, shared his entrepreneurial path integrating international design concepts, reflecting the international development trend of art college graduates.
