Dear Faculty and Students:

In accordance with the university's "Double First-Class" discipline construction requirements, our college has launched a trial of the *Full-Text Database Series of Modern Chinese Newspapers and Periodicals*. We encourage you to actively utilize it. Thank you.

This trial provides access to the entire database; all materials are searchable across different databases. Internal Network Trial Website: http://www.cnbksy.com/

The *Full-Text Database Series of Modern Chinese Newspapers and Periodicals* is produced by the *National Newspaper and Periodical Index Editorial Department* of the Shanghai Library. The periodical section is divided into two full-text databases: "Late Qing Dynasty Periodicals" and "Republic of China Periodicals."

The *Full-Text Database of Late Qing Dynasty Periodicals (1833-1911)* includes over 520 periodicals published between 1833 and 1910, containing over 530,000 full-text articles. It serves as a historical resource for studying the history, culture, education, thought, and figures of the late Qing Dynasty.

The *Full-Text Database of Republican Era Periodicals (1911-1949)* includes over 20,000 periodicals published during the Republican era, containing nearly 10 million full-text articles. It comprehensively reflects the political, military, diplomatic, economic, educational, intellectual, cultural, and religious situation of this period. This database is published in batches, with eleven volumes of full-text data already released.

A new product, the *Illustrated Century—A Pictorial Library of Modern Chinese Documents*, a supplement to the Late Qing and Republican era newspaper and periodical collection, includes photographic resources from newspapers and periodicals spanning nearly 200 years of modern Chinese history. The image library integrates all image types from modern Chinese documents, presented according to 16 categories including photographs, woodcuts, calligraphy, maps, and sculptures, currently containing over 600,000 images. The library has undergone a complete redesign, featuring a separate entry point on the homepage, a minimalist interface, full-image search results, detailed clustering, and convenient and fast browsing. Each image is precisely indexed, allowing searches not only by image type but also by full fields, image title, author, and source of the document.
